Overview
How a game goes from idea to release
Game development is a series of bets, and the cheapest place to lose a bet is in a prototype. Before anyone draws final art, we build a rough playable version of the core loop, the thing a player does again and again, and test whether it holds attention. If it does, the rest of production builds on that; if it does not, we change the mechanic while changes still cost days rather than months.
The biggest decisions come early. Which platforms matter first? Is this a premium game, a free-to-play title or a branded experience that supports a wider campaign? Which engine fits the art style, the team that will maintain it and the devices players own? Each answer shapes scope, schedule and how much content the game needs at launch, so we work through them together and write the reasoning down.
A well-run project feels predictable from the outside: playable builds at regular milestones, a clear list of what is in and out of scope, and honest notes when something turns out harder than planned. At release you get a tested game, store-ready builds and a project another team could open and understand.
Who it’s for
Built for teams like yours
- 01
Founders with an original concept
Independent creators and small studios with a game idea, a target audience and a budget, who need a full team for design, art, engineering and release rather than a single contractor.
- 02
Brands planning a playable campaign
Marketing teams who want a game that supports a launch, a loyalty program or an event, built to brand guidelines and measured with the analytics their team already uses.
- 03
Product teams adding play
Companies adding gamified features such as challenges, streaks or mini-games to an existing app or platform, where the game has to fit a product that already has users.
Why it matters
Built around the core loop
A game lives or dies on whether the first sixty seconds feel good. We prototype the core loop early, put it in front of real players, and only then build out the art, levels and systems around what's proven fun.
Whether it's a mobile title, a browser game, a branded marketing game, or a gamified product feature — we handle design, art, code, testing and store launch.
Every game build includes
- Concept & game design docmechanics, loop, progression and audience, agreed up front.
- Playable prototypeyou play the core loop before we commit to full production.
- Original art & audioa look and feel that's yours, not stock asset soup.
- Performance & QAtested on real devices so it runs smooth, not just on a dev machine.
- Store launchbuilds, assets, listings and submission to the App Store and Google Play.
- You own itfull source, art and IP handed over. No lock-in.

Art & sound
Original characters, environments, UI and audio that give the game its identity.
- 06
Monetisation that isn't hostile
Ads, IAP or premium — designed so players stay, instead of uninstalling in week one.
In practice
Projects we take on
Original premium or free-to-play titles
A full game built from concept through release, with progression, content and monetisation planned together so the design and the business model support each other rather than pulling in different directions.
Branded games for campaigns
Short, replayable games tied to a product launch or seasonal promotion, playable in a browser or app, with sign-up or reward hooks connected to the brand’s existing marketing tools, analytics and reporting dashboards.
Prototypes to test an idea
A focused playable build that answers one question, such as whether a mechanic is fun or a theme lands, so you can decide on funding or full production with evidence in hand.
Finishing a stalled project
Picking up a game another team started, auditing the code and content, then planning a realistic path to a releasable version without throwing away code, art or design work that is still sound.
Process
How we work
- 1
Concept workshop
We pin down the core loop, target players, platforms and business model, then write a short game design document that lists what the first release includes and what waits for later updates.
- 2
Core-loop prototype
A rough, playable build of the main mechanic with placeholder art. You play it, we watch other players try it, and we adjust controls, pacing and rules until the loop holds attention.
- 3
Vertical slice
One level or session brought close to final quality, with real art, audio and UI. It proves the look, the pipeline and the performance budget before the rest of the content is built.
- 4
Content production
Levels, characters, systems and progression built in milestones, each delivered as a playable build. Scope changes are logged openly so schedule and budget stay visible to everyone as the game grows in size.
- 5
Release readiness
Device testing, performance passes, store assets and submission. We fix review feedback from Apple, Google or Steam and hand over source, accounts and build notes alongside the launch, so your team controls what happens next.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Anything else about Game Development? Ask us directly.
Scope drives everything: a focused mobile or web game with a tight core loop sits at the lower end, while a larger title with extensive content, multiplayer or heavy original art costs considerably more. We scope the game honestly rather than promising a AAA title on an indie budget.
